Paint a Picture Store
Art service.
In this store, the visitors would become “artists for an hour”, as they would play for fun with acrylic colours on canvases. No instruction is involved, and there is no “right” or “wrong” way of doing art – just fun. The visitors would create their souvenirs in canvases filled with feelings about Monterey, the ocean, and the good times they had spent there. By the end of one hour, the customers would take home their ready masterpiece.
To make this a fun and relaxing experience even more pleasant the customers would be offered a selection of hot teas in a personal teapot or Turkish coffee. The tea/coffee shop and art would merge in this new Paint a Picture Store creating a new concept of an “Art Café” where sipping a cup of tea would be complimented by a fun art activity – painting a picture.
Paint a Picture store will donate 20% of the sales to KAM to support the development of this new museum.
It is never too early nor too late to be an artist. The paintings below are created by a retired nurse Valentina Matrosova. She started painting at 50 and continues in her 88 years! Valentina stated, “ I have raised 3 children as artists, I can paint too!”
